Between threat and idyll

Three pieces of research that stirred me in 2022 culminate in an art project: Russia's war of aggression on Ukraine, the former HAWK missile site on the Großer Pulskopf north of Schwalenberg, and the discovery of previously unknown family photos before, during and after the Second World War. The technically diverse works question the aesthetics of idyllic representations. I contrast documents of madness, vulnerability and grief with the figure of the hare. For me, the rabbit with its speed, resilience and cunning is a symbol of hope.
